Crossing Iriomote

2016. Iriomote, Okinawa, Japan. There are about one hundred Iriomote cats left on Earth. One ran off ahead of us. The fireflies glowed bright in the warm, night air. We crossed many streams and waded up rivers to waterfalls. The rains held off until we reached the deep river on the other side. A journey with a friend.
